Can I request audits for Arbor Workflows?

An audit is a formal investigation into data that has been created, accessed, updated, or deleted on your site or workflow. This guide outlines what types of audits you can request for Arbor Workflows and how to request these.

What can be audited?

For issues that are not related to security concerns or GDPR compliance, our support team can view a version history of your workflows that lets us see:

  • Changes that were made to a workflow and when
  • When the workflow has been run, which steps were executed

I need a deeper audit for security or GDPR reasons, and need more details

If you need more granular information on who accessed, changed or deleted something and when, for example, which pages a specific user visited or which buttons they clicked, we are able to help with these requests as long as they are needed for Security or Data protection reasons.

At this time, we are not able to conduct more detailed audits for reasons other than data protection or security.

Who can request an audit?

For data protection and safeguarding reasons, audit requests can only be made by Senior Leadership staff. This includes the HeadteacherData Protection Officer, or MAT CEO.

If you are an administrator or office staff member, you must ask a senior staff member to submit this request on your behalf.

Before you request an audit

Because audits often involve sensitive data, potential security breaches, or police investigations, we must strictly verify that the person requesting the audit is authorised to do so. If a request comes from a non-senior staff member, we will ask for a senior leader to contact us directly or provide written confirmation.

How to request an audit

Whichever of the below avenues to request an audit you use, please make sure to include as much information in the request as possible, including: your school's name and postcode, the workflow the request is regarding, relevant dates and links to relevant pages.

Direct-supported Arbor MIS customer

Please get in touch with our Support Team via one of our standard support channels, as if you were reaching out to us for help with your MIS.

Partner Supported Schools

If your school is supported by a Support Partner, your Partner must CC a senior staff member (such as the Headteacher) into the request or attach a confirmation email from them for Arbor to proceed with an Audit.

Non-Arbor MIS Customers

If you are not an Arbor MIS customer and want to request an audit, please use the Help button in the bottom-right corner of this page or complete this form, and our Support Team will be in touch to help!
