Form: PDF responses

This is likely to be because PDF Generation was not enabled when the workflow was published.

 

How to Enable PDF Generation 

To ensure answers are automatically saved as PDFs moving forward, you must update the Workflow configuration. This will take affect for all future runs of the workflow.

  1. Go to Workflows
  2. Select the specific workflow
  3. Open the Form Step settings.
  4. Ensure the PDF Toggle is switched to On (this triggers a PDF creation for every form submission).
  5. Navigate to the Publish tab.
  6. Critical Step: Confirm that the PDF for that specific step is correctly tagged as a 'Workflow Document' via the deploy tab (publish button) so it attaches to the Activity Run and is easily surfacible. 

Depending on how the workflow has been set up it may be possible to fetch the PDF of a form if it was not added as a workflow document. This requires going through each step and update to the workflow to see if the PDF has been tagged anywhere else in order to surface from outside of the workflow - for example, in a message or update that was sent as part of the workflow. 

This may not be possible at all and solely relies on how it has been built so we would always recommend attaching the PDF of the form as a Workflow Document.
